Charlie Adam believes Rangers will be in a good position to immediately challenge Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season. Carlos Hyde Jersey . The Gers sealed their place in Scottish footballs top tier with a 1-0 win over Dumbarton on Tuesday, and some of the focus has already switched to how Mark Warburtons side will fare next season.Stoke midfielder Adam, who spent six years in the Rangers first team between 2003 and 2009, sees no reason why his former club cannot be up with the sides at the top of the Premiership. Of course they are [able to challenge for the title]. They had 49,000 fans there against Dumbarton on a Wednesday night, and theyve had that support since they were in the Third Division week in, week out, Adam told Sky Sports Now.The fans have made a massive impact, the players and owners have come in and stabilised the club and they look like they are building for the future.I think the signings that Mark has made showed the intent that they were going to try and get promoted, but the players are good enough to keep them in the Premiership. Charlie Adam spent six years at Rangers Theyll go there next season and want to try and win it - they will spend again as well and improve the squad, and Celtic will have to be wary of that. Before attention can turn to Rangers Premiership campaign, Warburtons side will attempt to win the Petrofac Training Cup on Sunday, followed by the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic a week later. Adam told Sky Sports Now that he believes the encounter with Celtic will be a real sign of how far Rangers have come under Warburton.Well see on April 17 - in the past there was a massive gap, but I think Rangers have improved, he added. Mark Warburton has led Rangers to promotion in his first year in charge Celtic are dwindling at the top, theyve taken their foot off the gas and Aberdeen have pushed them all the way, but they will still win the league.Id like to see Rangers push them and hopefully get the win, and to try and win the treble in one season would be incredible. The Raptors pushed their run to two games on Sunday night with a 95-90 overtime victory over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Kyle Lowry totaled 21 points, 11 assists and six steals to lead Toronto. The matchup between the Atlantic Division leaders and the five-win Knicks was surprisingly tight as neither team led by more than seven points. There were 12 leads changes and 21 ties, but Toronto controlled play in overtime as New York missed its first seven shots. Terrence Ross finished with 22 points, while Lou Williams and Patrick Patterson contributed 15 and 13 points, respectively off the bench for Toronto, which improved to 5-3 without star guard DeMar DeRozan. It was one of those nights you just find a way to grind it out, Raptors head coach Dwane Casey said. The Raptors, who already own a seven-game lead in the Atlantic Division, close out this mini homestand Wednesday versus the Boston Celtics. The Magic halted a two-game slide with a dramatic victory over the Atlanta Hawks Saturday night in the second of a home-and-home series. Custom San Francisco 49ers Jerseys. The loss snapped a nine-game winning streak for the Hawks. Tobias Harris nailed a jumper at the buzzer to lift the Magic to a 100-99 victory. Kyle Korver put the Hawks in front after knocking down a contested left wing 3-pointer with 3.4 seconds left, but Harris came through at the other end. He received an inbounds pass at the top of the arc, used the left-handed dribble to get past DeMarre Carroll and hit a pull-up jumper from the left elbow at the horn. I think the biggest thing is every one of my teammates knew that is a shot I am capable of making, Harris said. Harris finished with 20 points, six rebounds, five assists and three blocks, Evan Fournier posted 19 points and five boards and Nik Vucevic added 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Magic, who had lost four of their last six games coming in. Orlando also put the brakes on a four-game home losing streak when it shot 50 percent (37-of-74) from the floor and hit 10-of-21 from beyond the arc. The Raptors won both meetings this season and nine in a row overall over the Magic. With the NHL regular season right around the corner, TSN. Jim McMahon Jersey .ca profiles each team leading up to puck drop. Next up are the Detroit Red Wings, who fought tooth and nail to make the playoffs last season and look to continue their lengthy run of post-season appearances. Catch up on their summer moves and the issues they face this season, as well as Craig Buttons analysis of their top prospect and an analytical breakdown by TSNs Scott Cullen. Division: Atlantic GM: Ken Holland Head Coach: Mike Babcock 2013-14: 39-28-15 (4th in Atlantic) Playoffs: Lost in First Round Goals For: 217 (16th) Goals Against: 221 (16th) PP: 17.7% (18th) PK: 83.0% (12th) That Was Then: Detroits first taste of the Eastern Conference last season produced a mixed bag of results and ended in a battle for playoff survival. The Red Wings were decimated by injuries to stars and supporting players alike. Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk both missed 37 games, Johan Franzen missed 28, Darren Helm sat out 40 and free agent signing Stephen Weiss played in only 26 before missing the rest of the season with groin issues. The Wings were in serious danger of having their streak of 22 consecutive playoff appearances end. But head coach Mike Babcock was still able to lead his remaining players to 93 points and the second wild card playoff berth in the East. Detroit was easily eliminated by the East-leading Bruins in the first round, as Boston held the Red Wings to just six goals and ousted them in five games. In the absence of its biggest stars, the club was led in regular season points by Daniel Alfredsson and Niklas Kronwall. Jimmy Howard played the majority of games in net and went 21-19-11 with a .910 save percentage and two shutouts. But if he has a healthy group this time around, the Red Wings should be competitive. Zetterberg, Datsyuk and Weiss are all expected to be healthy to start the year. The next generation of Red Wings regulars are coming on strong, with Gustav Nyquist (28 goals, 20 assists last season) and Tomas Tatar (19 goals, 20 assists) up front and a blue line maturing with Danny DeKeyser and Brendan Smith. You can have a wish list in the summer and a wish list in training camp, but really as a coach, whatever they give you, you get, Babcock told NHL.com over the summer. If you start hoping and wishing for any more than that, thats just not realistic. That said, Babcock still knows where his allegiances lie with his veterans getting healthy and back into the lineup. We used to say in training camp, and Id say it every year, The tie goes to the veteran, Babcock said. Maybe the tie still goes to the veteran, but weve shown, and we did it last year, youre allowed to take guys jobs and the best players are going to play. Gone is Legwand, who signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Ottawa Senators. Mantha can score in all manner of ways; from forty feet with a shot or from five feet around net with a deft touch in tight. He recognizes opportunity, moves to scoring position quickly and has a release that doesnt allow goaltenders to get themselves properly set. He is the type of scorer who needs just one opportunity to make good on it. Because of his scoring instincts he gets multiple opportunities over the course of the game and that is a boon to any team offence. Fantasy - Cullens Player to Watch - Tomas Tatar While the spotlight was brightest on Gustav Nyquist last season, Tatars development was also crucial to the Red Wings reaching the postseason. He was playing a little over 13 minutes per game for the first couple months of the season, but as injuries hit the Wings lineup, Tatar was handed more opportunities and he responded with 19 goals and 39 points in 73 games, giving him 47 points in 100 career NHL games. With more ice time, and perhaps the chance to play with highly-skilled veterans on the Wings roster, Tatar should continue to develop as an offensive contributor in Detroit. Gale Sayers Jersey . -- Downcast before the final game of what had been a difficult road trip, the Ottawa Senators found a way to dig out a little momentum in the desert before heading home. Bryce Callahan Jersey . Adam Jones and J.J. Hardy also homered for the Orioles, who hit a major league-leading 46 long balls in June. The four home runs provided Baltimore with a 6-0 lead in the fourth inning against Saunders , who came in 7-0 lifetime against the Orioles. Jimenez (3-8) allowed one run, none earned, and four hits with seven strikeouts in eight innings. The right-hander walked only one after issuing 30 free passes in his previous seven starts. BOSTON -- David Ortiz went from gesturing up at an official scorer one at-bat earlier to pumping his fist toward his teammates after his game-tying homer. Doug Kotar Jersey . Three pitches later, he was hugging Mike Napoli at home plate after his teammates winning home run. Napoli and Ortiz hit consecutive homers with one out in the 10th inning and the Boston Red Sox rallied past Minnesota 2-1 Wednesday, sending the Twins to their fifth straight loss. "We havent been able to produce. Our pitching has been outstanding lately, but we havent been able to hit," Ortiz said. "To come back and win the game, that was big." Boston was held to one hit -- a fifth-inning double by Daniel Nava -- before the homers. The Twins took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 10th on Chris Parmelees two-out home run off Red Sox closer Koji Uehara (2-1). But after Dustin Pedroia flied out to begin the Boston 10th, the Red Sox connected against Casey Fien (3-4) to complete a three-game sweep. Twins closer Glen Perkins was unavailable with a sore back. Ortiz hit his drive down the right-field line and pumped his right fist toward the dugout as he headed toward first base. Napoli hit his shot into the centre-field bleachers. Three innings earlier, Ortiz felt like he had a hit taken away when he reached on what was ruled an error by official scorer Bob Ellis after the ball deflected off first baseman Joe Mauers glove in the seventh inning. When he walked off the field following Napolis double-play grounder, Ortiz was glaring and waving his arm up at the press box. "You hope they have your back at home and it never happens," Ortiz said. "Ive been here more than a decade and the scoring, its home, man. What do you want Mauer to do? He dove for the ball. He knocked it down." "I always look like Im the bad guy, but they always end up changing it. Its not that we need to check on Papi. Check on the scorer to see what hes doing wrong," he said. Earlier this year, Major League Baseball changed a scorers ruling and later gave Ortiz a single in a game in which Yu Darvish had a no-hit bid for Texas. Parmelee also had two singles as Minnesota finished a 3-6 road trip. "Were glad were going home," Parmelee said. "Its kind of tough end to the long road trip, but were headed home and were excited to get back home." Uehara had a scoreless streak snapped at 21 2/3 innings when Parmelee homered into the Red Sox bullpen over the leap of right fielder Brock Holt. "Unfortunately, one extra split to Parmelee gives them the upper hand, but a dramatic finish on our part," Boston manager John Farrell said. "David comes up big once again." Like the previous two games of the series, both one-run wins by Boston, neither team had much offence going. The Twins entered the day with seven combined hits and one run in the first two games and Boston scored just three total runs. The Red Sox were on the verge of being shut out until the improbable ending. "Its the worst feeling in the world," Fien said. "When youve got a pitching staff that threw like that and then they ask me to come up big and do my part. You come out with the L. Its not a good feeling." Bostons John Lackey and Minnesotas Kyle Gibson kept up the trend with strong pitching performances. Lackey gave up three singles over nine innings, striking out nine and walking one. Hes allowed three or fewer runs in six straight starts, and 12th of 15 this season. Gibson pitched seven shutout innings for the third consecutive start, allowing only Navas double, while striking out eight without walking anyone. Gibson retired the first 14 batters before Nava lined a double near the base of the right-field wall that bounced in Bostons bullpen for a ground-rule double. Pedroia had his streak of reaching in every career start against the Twins snapped at 30 after he went 0 for 4. Armstrong attorney Elliot Peters told The Associated Press that Armstrong set up the meeting and sat for questions for seven hours on May 22, and described the session at a hotel outside Dulles Airport in Washington, D.C., as a "very good meeting." "They asked him about everything. ... If you made a list of all the questions people would want to ask about Lance and his activities in cycling and everything else, those were the questions that were asked and answered," Peters said. The probe has been expected to centre on the International Cycling Unions handling of doping in the late 1990s and early 2000s, especially its links with Armstrong. Armstrongs willingness to meet with investigators has been seen as crucial to their efforts to determine whether former officials with the sports governing body aided his doping as the Texan became cyclings biggest star. Armstrong won the Tour every year from 1999-2005. Those titles were stripped after a massive report by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency detailed doping by Armstrong and his U.S. Postal Service teammates. Peters declined to detail exactly who was in the room or what Armstrong told them, but said Armstrong met with three people "running" the Cycling Independent Reform Commission and their attorney. A spokesman for the group did not immediately return a call or text message seeking comment on Thursday. The commission is chaired by Dick Marty, a Swiss politician and former Swiss state prosecutor. The other members are German anti-doping expert Ulrich Haas and Peter Nicholson, a former Australian military officer and war crimes investigator. Armstrong had previously said hed be willing to talk to the panel, and Peters said Armstrong had him contact the commission to set up the meeting. UCI President Brian Cookkson has said in the past that Armstrongs lifetime ban for doping could be reduced if he provides information which assists other doping investigations. Brad Wing Jersey. The panel has the authority to cut deals with cheaters who provide valuable information. But Peters said Armstrong did not ask for, and was not offered such a deal in exchange for meeting with the group. "There is no agreement and that was never discussed. We never asked for one," Peters said. "We do think the ban was unfairly harsh and should be reduced. ... Hes talking in the spirit of not trying to benefit by getting somebody else in trouble, but in the spirit of lets tell the truth." Armstrongs meeting with the CRIC was voluntary but he has been forced to testify under oath in lawsuits in Texas. Last month, Armstrong was questioned in a private arbitration dispute with a Dallas company seeking repayment of $12 million in bonuses it paid him during his career. In late 2013, Armstrong provided sworn written testimony in another lawsuit seeking repayment of other bonus awards. In that testimony, Armstrong named several people he says knew about his performance-enhancing drug use, but also insisted he didnt pay anyone or any organization to keep his doping secret. Armstrong also is facing a federal whistleblower lawsuit filed by former teammate Floyd Landis. The government joined Landis lawsuit and is seeking to recover about $40 million in U.S. Postal Service sponsorship money paid to Armstrong and his teams. Under the False Claims Act, penalties in the case could run as high as $100 million. Armstrong has so far refused to provide sworn testimony to the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. USADA has questioned whether Armstrong paid officials at the UCI to keep his doping secret. Armstrong has said in interviews that former UCI president Hein Verbruggen helped him cover up doping at the 1999 Tour, a charge Verbruggen has denied. But Armstrong has denied he paid anyone or any organization to hide his doping. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

CORTLAND, N. Lawrence Timmons Jersey .Y. -- Geno Smith threw one interception, and then another. And then, two more. It wasnt a good performance by the New York Jets rookie quarterback. At all. "It was brutal," coach Rex Ryan said flatly on Wednesday. "That was Genos worst day." Smith, competing with Mark Sanchez for the starting job, was intercepted four times, including three in 11-on-11 team drills. He is still dealing with a sprained right ankle, that he has looked less hobbled by in practice the last few days. But Ryan said it is clearly affecting his performance, as well as his fundamentals and being late on some throws. "Obviously, the ankle is part of it, but way too many picks," Ryan said. "He did not look comfortable today. Obviously, he has to come back from it, and he will come back from it. But it was a bad day." "Guys have bad days, but this was a really bad day." It was also an unseasonably cold day in Cortland -- the temperature at the start of practice was a mere 52 degrees with occasional rain. "It was a beautiful December day today," Ryan quipped. "That, without question, had to be the coldest training camp day Ive ever been a part of. Thats about 30 years. "Man, that was chilly. Almost as chilly as the offensive performance today." And that included Smiths performance. The second-round pick, however, insisted the ankle has not been a factor. "I havent really been trying to use it as an excuse," he said. "Ive been going out there and giving it my all, and I think Ive done a good job of just pushing through this week." Ryan agreed that Smith hasnt been using the injury an excuse for his performances lately, but added that its "bravado" by the quarterback saying its not affecting him. "Guys, you see it out there," Ryan said. "Hes not able to move like he normally does. Hes not able to drive the ball like he normally does with his velocity. That doesnt mean he still cant get out there. Hes competing. Hes been out there every day. "But is he 100 per cent? I would say that hes not 100 per cent." The Jets have still not decided on a starter for the teams preseason game Saturday night against Jacksonville, but Sanchez has outperformed Smith this week. When asked if he wants to start Saturday, Smith curiously said: "No comment." Ryan acknowledged that its a "possibility" Smith wont play against the Jaguars, but added that theres still plenty of time for the injury to heal. Smith, meanwhile, remained positive about his camp so far -- as well as the injury. "The ankles feeling good," Smith said. "Its getting progressively better." Smith was injured in the teams preseason opener at Detroit last Friday night, but has not missed any practice time. He worked mostly with the first-team offence Wednesday, and appeared to move around the field with only a slight limp at times. With both quarterbacks facing the scout-team defences as the Jets prepare for Jacksonville, Smith was not sharp. He was intercepted by Rontez Miles on a pass that went off the hands of Ryan Spadola in 7-on-7 drills, and also picked off by Royce Adams, Jacquies Smith and Bret Lockett in 11-on-11 drills. "It was a bad day today," Ryan said. "Theres no other way to put it. It was a bad day. Was I disappointed he had the day he did today? Absolutely. These days happen, but you dont expect them to happen." When asked what happened on the interceptions, Smith got slightly testy. "I dont know," he said. "Youve got to watch the tape man, Im pretty sure you all got it. Just go ahead and watch it." Ryan indicated that he and his staff need to see more of both Smith and Sanchez before they consider who will win the competition and start in Week 1 against Tampa Bay. "Will it become more of a sense of urgency probably after this game? I would say so," Ryan said. "I thought this was going to be a real competition and it wouldnt be just solved after one week of a preseason game. I dont know that many are really decided after one preseason game. So I dont think its a surprise that theres not clarity at a number of positions." NOTES: RB-KR Joe McKnight (head injury) missed practice for a second straight day after needing to be carted off the field and needing oxygen Monday. Thats a lot of needy teams that missed out on his 40+ point performance. The former third-rounder has been impressive all year long in spot duty for the injured Michael Vick and is all but guaranteed to be the Eagles starter the rest of the year. Hes not going to throw seven touchdowns every week but he could be a borderline QB1, something almost impossible to find on the waiver wire this late in the season. EJ Manuel (at Pittsburgh)Last week: InjuredManuel was given the green light to return to action with the Bills on Monday and with that comes the green light to be picked up again by fantasy teams. Prior to Manuels knee injury, the rookie was averaging 13 points per game and, if his progression with a decent looking Bills offence continues throughout the year, hes worth adding, especially if you need a bye week fill-in over the next couple weeks. Case Keenum (at Cardinals)Last week: 20/34, 350 yards, 3 TDsKeenum was outstanding in his debut for the Texans and gave fans in Houston, after too much of Matt Schaub in recent years, hope for the future. The young, undrafted free agent doesnt appear to be afraid of taking chances and with a premier receiver like Andre Johnson on the other end of his passes, that could be a good thing. Keenum is a gunslinger and, while I wouldnt be surprised to see his interception totals spike in coming weeks, he should be always be good for healthy yardage totals. Jason Campbell (Bye)Last week: 23/35, 262 yards, 3 TDsAfter years of having nothing go right in Cleveland, nothing can seemingly go wrong for the Browns this year. Its still likely not enough to get the Browns in the playoffs, but their players can benefit fantasy teams with some big weeks. Jason Campbell, the third quarterback to start a game for Cleveland, had a huge game against the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens. The veteran hurt his ribs in Week 9 but should be fine when the Browns return from their bye week against the Cincinnati Bengals. If youve got room on your bench, Campbell could be worth an add. Others: Kellen Clemons (at Colts), Christian Ponder (vs Redskins) RUNNING BACKS Andre Brown (vs Raiders)Last week: InjuredBrown confirmed on Monday that hell be returning from the IR designated to return to make his season debut in Week 10, and with it the Giants hope their running back nightmare of 2013 is over. While its unlikely Brown will be the solution to all the Giants rushing problems, he could be for a needy fantasy team. Its hard to tell how effective Brown will be but he should get the most touches out of New Yorks backfield and that alone is worth a couple FAAB dollars. Donald Brown (vs Rams)Last week: 6 carries, 49 yardsBrown is just the second most owned running back in the Colts backfield (by a longshot behind Trentt Richardson) but he shouldnt be. Alterraun Verner Jersey. Since Richardsons acquisition Brown has proven to be the more effective back. While the two are likely looking at a timeshare in the backfield the rest of the way, Brown is the third-down back, lending to more passing opportunities. The former first-rounder was held to just six carries and 49 yards on Sunday Night but that was more because Indy was engaged in an aerial battle with the Texans; his carries should increase in coming weeks. Rashad Jennings (at Giants)Last week: 15 carries, 102 yards, 7 catches, 74 yards, 1 TDFor the second time this year, and seemingly millionth time in his career, Darren McFadden left a game with an injury for the Raiders. Jennings stepped in and stepped up, accumulating 176 total yards in Oaklands blowout loss to the Eagles. If McFaddens injury keeps him out in Week 10, the Raiders will have no problem feeding Jennings the rock against the Raiders. The former Jaguars backup has been the teams best back even when McFadden is healthy. Ben Tate (at Cardinals)Last week: 22 carries, 81 yardsThis suggestion is contingent on Arian Fosters injury status for Week 10 but since we likely wont know that until waiver bids are due, err on the side of caution and look to grab Tate. What we do know is that if Tate gets the start for an injured Foster, hes done enough over the past couple seasons to prove hes a decent RB2 if given a starters workload. Others: Jonathan Stewart (at 49ers), Daniel Thomas (at Buccaneers) WIDE RECEIVERS Riley Cooper (at Packers)Last week: 5 catches, 139 yards, 3 TDsAfter his early season controversy, it seems Cooper and the Eagles can coexist. After weeks of putting up below average fantasy scores, Cooper exploded in the Eagles rout of the Raiders. Cooper wont score three TDs every week but if the chemistry he appeared to have with likely new full-time starter Nick Foles continues to manifest, hell be an intriguing WR3/flex option in Philadelphia. Marlon Brown (vs Bengals)Last week: 5 catches, 54 yards, 2 TDsThe undrafted free agent had a big Week 9 against the Browns, and looks to be working his way towards more targets in the Ravens offence. Brown is nothing more than a bye week fill-in at the moment – through nine weeks hes averaging only about five points per week but his nine Week 9 targets were a team high, suggesting Joe Flacco could look to the young receiver more in the second half of the season. Others: Kris Durham (at Bears), Nate Washington (vs Jaguars) TIGHT ENDS Tim Wright (vs Dolphins)Last week: 4 catches, 58 yards, 1 TDWright could be an interesting add at the tight end position. The undrafted free agent is averaging six targets in his six games this season and while that has translated to just an average of 32 yards per game, if he can find the end zone on a more consistent basis – like he did last week in the Bucs near upset of the Seahawks – hes worth a flyer. Wright could have some chemistry with Tampas rookie QB Mike Glennon which would certainly help his fantasy stock. Others: Zach Miller (at Falcons), Coby Fleener (vs Rams) Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

SEATTLE -- Chris Davis hit a leadoff homer in the 10th inning, Nelson Cruz also went deep and the Baltimore Orioles overcame a record-tying start by Felix Hernandez in a 2-1 victory Friday night over the Seattle Mariners. Antonio Garcia Jersey . Hernandez struck out 10 in seven innings and left with the score tied 1-all. It was his 13th consecutive start with at least seven innings and no more than two runs allowed, matching Tom Seavers major league mark set for the New York Mets in 1971. Chief Bender held the previous AL record of 12 in a row established in 1907. Kendrys Morales had a sacrifice fly in his first game back with the Mariners, who have lost four straight and are 2-6 since the All-Star break. Left fielder Steve Pearce threw out a runner at the plate for Baltimore, which remained three games in front of the second-place New York Yankees in the AL East. Davis sent a 1-2 pitch from Charlie Furbush (1-5) into the right-field seats for his 17th home run. Cruz connected off Hernandez in the second for his 29th of the season, keeping him one behind Chicago White Sox rookie Jose Abreu for the big league lead. Abreu hit No. 30 on Friday night in a victory over Minnesota. Darren ODay (3-1) worked the ninth and Zach Britton earned his 19th save in 22 opportunities. Baltimore won an instant replay review for the final out. Hernandez gave up five hits and walked none. He is 7-1 with a 1.36 ERA, 113 strikeouts and 17 walks during his last 13 starts. The Mariners had a series of chances, but Orioles starter Kevin Gausman consistently threw the right pitch to work out of most trouble. Seattle advanced a runner to third with two outs in the first, third and fourth. Endy Chavez was pinned there in the first inning when Kyle Seager struck out. Brad Miller reached third in the third, but Robinson Cano bounced out to first. Seager was stranded in the fourth when Logan Morrison struck out. Then in the fifth, it appeared the Mariners had something going after Millers one-out walk. Chavez grounded a ball through the right side, with Miller racing to third. However, the umpires ruled immediately that the ball ticked off Millers shoe. He was ruled out and Chavez was credited with a single. Chavez stole second and James Jones lined a single to left. Chavez tried to score, but was thrown out easily by Pearce. Seattle finally broke through in the sixth. Cano opened with a triple into the right-field corner. Morales, in his first game since Thursdays trade with Minnesota, lifted a sacrifice fly to right. Cano made a nifty, left-handed sweep of the plate to avoid the tag. Cruzs first-pitch solo shot in the second curled into the left-field corner, clearing the wall by not much more than a yard as Hernandez flashed an incredulous look. Hernandez had been among the toughest pitchers to take deep. He had allowed five home runs this season, just two in his previous 16 starts. The Orioles have 125 home runs, matching Toronto for most in the majors. NOTES: Orioles RHP Ubaldo Jimenez, on the disabled list with a sprained right ankle, threw a 44-pitch simulated game Friday afternoon. "If he feels well (Saturday) we have a schedule for him to go out and pitch once, maybe twice" manager Buck Showalter said. "Hes going to have to get some innings." . Baltimore 3B Manny Machado missed his fourth straight game with a sore back but is close to returning. Showalter said Machado was available Friday and expects to start him this weekend. . With the addition of Morales, the Mariners sent DH Jesus Montero back to Triple-A Tacoma. Montero was with the big club for just one game. . Hernandez surpassed 1,000 innings at Safeco Field. Among active pitchers, only Mark Buehrle (now with Toronto) has more innings pitched at one venue -- 1,306 2-3 at U.S. Cellular Field. Alan Branch Jersey . Knapp defeated American Alison Riske 6-3, 7-5 to secure Italys victory in the best-of-five series. She held a 5-2 lead in the second set, only to let Riske tie it at five. Ryan Allen Jersey . - Gary Kubiak is John Elways No.BILBAO, Spain - Athletic Bilbao says forward Ibai Gomez will be sidelined for six to eight weeks after tearing a muscle in his right leg. BUFFALO, N. Briean Boddy-Calhoun Jersey .Y. -- Steven Stamkos called it an "uncharacteristic hat trick." Even though one of the goals counted for the other team. Stamkos scored twice for Tampa Bay and overcame putting another goal in his own net as the Lightning beat the Buffalo Sabres 4-3 in overtime Saturday night. "Its a tough bounce, but we responded," Stamkos said. "We get a power play after that and tie it up and that was a good push back from us." With the game tied at 2, a delayed penalty to Cory Conacher drew Lightning goalie Ben Bishop to the bench for an extra attacker, but Stamkos back pass missed Michael Kostka and bounced off the boards in the neutral zone before gliding into the empty net. "I dont know if he took a puck and had 10 of them in a practice if he could throw it in," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. "Gosh, that was tough to watch. And when the puck goes down the ice, of course its like going in slow motion." And for Stamkos, who would later score the winner in overtime, it was the first time seeing an "own goal" in person. "Ive seen it a couple times, never live," Stamkos said. "You see it on the highlights. Im sure Ill make them now in the un-top 10, but as soon as it went over our Ds stick I knew it had a pretty good chance to go in." Alex Killorn and Ryan Callahan also scored for the Lightning, who have earned at least a point in 11 consecutive games. With the win, Tampa Bay remained two points behind Montreal for second place in the Atlantic Division after the Canadiens beat Florida 4-1. Matt DAgostini, Cody Hodgson and Cory Conacher scored for Buffalo, which finished March with a 2-11-1 record. The first period had little flow, with Buffalos failed power play near the midpoint the only time either team threatened to score. That changed at the 12:20 mark, as DAgostini freely carried the puck over the Lightning blue line before firing a point blank wrist shot over the right shoulder of Bishop to give Buffalo a 1-0 lead. Rasmus Ristolainen and Johan Larsson picked up assists on the goal, giving the rookies points in back-to-back nights for the first time in their careers. Buffalo doubled its advantage at the 14:07 mark when Zemgus Girgensons stripped Kostka deep in the Tampa Bay zone, and Christian Ehrhoffs slap shot was redirected into the goal by Hodgson. Girgensons played his first game since missing 11 with a lower-body injury. The lead wouldnt last the rest of the period. Tampa Bay picked up its first goal on Killorns shot that beat Matt Hackett between the legs. Killorns 16th of the season came at the 17:52 mark, and Stamkos scored the tying goal with 14 seconds to play. Bishop was called upon to make a pair of trio of stops four minutes into the second period, as he stopped Tyler Ennis once and Brian Flynn twice before Victor Hedman took a penalty for forcing the net off the moorings. Then came the Stamkos own-goal, and Conacher was given credit for it as the last Sabres player to touch the puck. Conacher was traded from Tampa Bay to Ottawa along with a fourth-round pick for Bishop in April 2013. Bishop recounted watching the puck go in the net from the bench. "It was kinda funny, actually," Bishop said. "One of those things that just happened, thats the first time Ive ever seen it live." Trailing 3-2 and already on the power play, Tampa Bay received a 60-second two-man advantage when Mike Weber took a cross-checking penalty. Its the sort of play Sabres interim head coach Ted Nolan is trying to eliminate from his young team. "You want to see how certain people react," Nolan said. "The one penalty we take to make it 5-on-3, theres no need to cross-check someone in the back of the head twice. Thats just a bad, bad penalty." The Lightning only needed 52 seconds to capitalize. Playing in front of family and friends, Rochester, N.Y., native Callahan tapped in a cross-crease pass from Teddy Purcell to tie it at 3 at 10:07. "I was a Sabres fan, so its definitely nice to come in here and play," Callahan said. The Sabres had several shots at a winning goal with just over five minutes to play, but Bishop made several saves before referee Dave Jackson lost sight of the puck and blew his whistle. Two minutes later, Larssons attempt at an empty net was deflected out of play by Eric Brewers outreached stick. Drew Stafford took a hooking penalty in overtime, and Stamkos walked in from the point to put the winning goal past Hackett. NOTES: Tampa Bay outshot Buffalo 33-28. ... The start of the game was delayed 10 minutes as the Sabres inducted goaltender Dominik Hasek into their Hall of Fame ... Ville Leino missed the game with an undisclosed illness. He left Thursdays 6-1 loss to Nashville after feeling light-headed. Larry Ogunjobi Jersey . The American secured his first back-to-back ATP match wins since June to leave Tsonga relying on his performance at next weeks Paris Masters to clinch one of the final three places for the season-ending event in London. Tsonga would have moved up one spot to No. 6 with a win over Querrey at the City of Arts and Sciences, but his serve deserted him in the second set as the 116th-ranked American broke twice to reach the quarter-finals. Sammie Coates Jersey . The 57-year-old Tietjens has coached New Zealand to nine IRB World Sevens titles and to four Commonwealth Games gold medals as its only coach in the professional era. New Zealand Rugby Union chief executive Steve Tew said the re-signing was made with a focus on 2016 when sevens will be in the Olympics.(SportsNetwork.com) - The Golden State Warriors have started another winning streak and theyll try to pad it Tuesday night when they head to Staples Center to face the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors are already 15 1/2 games ahead of the Lakers in the Pacific Division. After their 16-game winning streak was halted by Memphis Grizzlies one week ago, the Warriors defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder and Sacramento Kings at home. On Monday, Golden State squashed the Kings, 128-108, at Oracle Arena. Klay Thompson led the way with 25 points, but the Warriors second-leading scorer on Monday was a bit of a shocker. Justin Holiday, a seldom-used guard, had a career-high 18 points. He had a great preseason, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of Holiday. We really think he can play, we just havent been able to get him in. Festus Ezeli posted a career-high 15 points with eight rebounds and Stephen Curry checked in with 12 points and 11 assists for Golden State. Andre Iguodala and Marreese Speights both had 12 in the win. Golden State forward David Lee, who reinjured his left hamstring on Nov. 5 in the only game he has played this season, returned to score six points with seven rebounds The Warriors bench scored a season-high 62 points and all 13 Warriors who played scored at least two poiints. Kevin Hogan Jersey. . Golden State, which is a league-best 13-2 on the road, shot 63.8 percent from the floor. The Lakers have lost three straight and their most recent setback, a 108-101 road loss to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday, brought about questions about Kobe Bryant. The future Hall of Famer scored 25 points versus Sacramento, but went 8-for-30 from the floor. Lakers coach Byron Scott indicated after the game he might have to sit his 36-year-old superstar. Nick Young led the Lakers with 26 points. Ed Davis was the only other Lakers player in double figures with 10. I think when we dont get stops thats tough, Lakers guard Jeremy Lin said. We just need to make sure we are focused in the defensive end. Carlos Boozers floater cut the deficit to 83-82 early in the fourth and ended a span of 8:36 without a Los Angeles field goal. Young drained consecutive treys and hit a free throw to give the Lakers an 89-83 lead with 8:03 remaining. The Kings had an answer, however, scoring 16 of the next 18 points. The Lakers visit the Chicago Bulls on Christmas Day. The Warriors have won both meetings this season against the Lakers and four straight in the series. Golden State has taken two straight as the visitor in this series, but LA is 20-3 in its last 23 at home. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

VANCOUVER -- Kenny Miller saw a chance to spend some time with his family and he took it. David Andrews Jersey . Miller and the Vancouver Whitecaps mutually agreed to terminate the Scottish nationals contract on Sunday, freeing the 34-year-old to take a vacation with his wife and children. "What this does is it gives me six, seven weeks to get a holiday, which Ive not had since Ive been out here, so its been a couple years since Ive been on a holiday with the family. So well get away on holiday probably in the next few weeks," said Miller. "Then we can sit down and hopefully find us a new club come the first of July (transfer window)." The 34-year-old Miller joined Vancouver in June 2012 and during his time with the club the native of Edinburgh made 45 appearances in all competitions. He had 13 goals and three assists in that span. "We are thankful for the contributions Kenny made both on and off the pitch during his time in Vancouver," said Whitecaps head coach Carl Robinson. "He has been a great role model, a constant professional, and someone who I consider a very good friend. We wish him and his family all the best." Miller has no specific plans worked out yet and said hed be happy to land anywhere. "To be honest with you, I wouldnt rule anything out," said Miller. "Ill be able to get away and look at all options to see what it brings. But like I said, I wouldnt rule anything out, its just a case of my agent getting down to work and finding us a new home." The contract termination came with no hard feelings, said Miller, who enjoyed his time in British Columbia and Major League Soccer. "Its the nature of the business that were in," said Miller. "Clubs have got to look after their base interests and obviously players have got to look after theirs. The club obviously wanted to move in another direction and I wanted to do something as well. "I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Vancouver, its almost been two years now. Ive enjoyed my two years there." Dwayne Allen Jersey . - Pete Rose didnt want it to be about him, not on a day when four new members were elected to baseballs most exclusive club. Jimmy Garoppolo Jersey . Members of the Toronto Maple Leafs front office and coaching staff are on the same page, assistant general manager Kyle Dubas said. Stephen Hauschka Jersey . And its not the same page that includes the NHL standings.Despite the teams stretch of seven victories in its past nine games, Dubas said president Brendan Shanahan, general manager Dave Nonis and coach Randy Carlyle arent happy with the way the Leafs have been outshot and outplayed.Theres nobody content that weve gone 7-1-1 in this stretch, Dubas said on a conference call Thursday. Theres no one really content with it. Its trying to continue to hone in on our process and really maximize our potential as a team. This state-of-the-team address by Dubas mightve been necessary after the Leafs beat the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night in a game where they owed everything to backup goaltender James Reimer. Toronto was outshot 42-19 but won in a shootout almost single-handedly because of Reimer.Dubas said Thursday that no one has to be an analytics expert to recognize thats not great. Recent trends beyond that game are also troubling, like the Leafs being outshot 303-247 over this nine-game run, an average of around 34-27 a game.In the process, the Leafs have picked up 15 points and moved into the first wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. Thats with some smoke, a few mirrors and mostly No. 1 goaltender Jonathan Bernier saving their hides.Weve managed to find a way to win, Dubas said. Weve shot the puck well, weve made the most of our opportunities, weve gotten terrific goaltending. The Leafs got off to similar starts the past two seasons before collapsing under the weight of their own struggles. In 2013 it was a Game 7 loss to the Boston Bruins after a lockout-shortened 48-game season, and in 2013-14 it was an eight-game regulation losing streak that dropped them out of playoff contention.Asked about the pattern of being outshot badly in certain stretches lately, Dubas said the team has ideas about whats wrong and how to fix it but didnt want to share much more than that. Given the past couple of years, this doesnt seem to be a new problem. Its a process, Dubas said. I can tell you that within the organization that everyone whos been here has been aware of the issues that have been there, and now were just trying to all work together to correct them and move ahead. One thing the Leafs need to do better, according to Dubas, is play with the lead. Evidence of how to do that came in the two games after the infamous 9-2 loss to the Nashville Predators on Nov. 18, when the Leafs beat the Tampa Bay Lightning and Red Wings. We did a really, really good job of closing out those games when we were up and we werent overly conservative, did a good job not giving up too much to two very good teams, Dubas said. Then in the last couple games here, thats started to sag a little bit. But I think thats the one area that if we can hone in on that and just continue to find ways where we can close out games better, where we dont let our goalie close it out for us on his own, thatd be terrific.Dubass comments werent all bad. How could they be for a team that has won seven of nine? He sees the potential in the Leafs strong momentsWeve shown stretches of playing the way were fully capable of, he said. Thats probably what intrigues me the most about the group moving forward is the way that weve shown we can play. Its been there. Its a prolonged process ahead, and thats the way I look at it. Im excited to see if we can start to put that together over the long run.Note — Dubas said theres no timetable for the return of forward Leo Komarov, who has missed the past five games with a concussion. Andre Holmes Jersey .com) - The Columbus Blue Jackets rewarded starting goaltender and pending restricted free agent Sergei Bobrovsky with a four-year contract extension on Friday. Doug Flutie Jersey . The 31-year-old, a two-time CFL lineman of the year, was among the most coveted free agents on the market. The Windsor, Ont., native will be especially important to a team that has lost veteran quarterback Anthony Calvillo to retirement and is expected to go with the less experienced Troy Smith and Tanner Marsh this season.FLORHAM PARK, N.J. - The Broncos braved the cold for their first full practice of Super Bowl week, working in pads for nearly two hours after a 30-minute walkthrough session Wednesday. Denver practiced on the synthetic turf outdoor field at the New York Jets training facility. By the end of practice, the temperature dipped to 21 degrees. "It was great," Broncos coach John Fox said after practice. "Were pretty much weather-proof. We practice in this stuff all the time. Being in Denver, weve played in a few different elements. We practiced numerous times in single digit, played in single digit, played in wind. Weve practiced in snow many times. Were pretty much ready for anything." Fox has chosen not to use the indoor field at the Jets plush headquarters for practices this week, opting for the type of natural elementss that will greet his team at Met Life Stadium on Super Sunday. E.J. Gaines Jersey. . Fox was pleased with the flow after the travel and various commitments connected to playing in a Super Bowl. Wednesday is typically when the focus toward the game increases, given the full-scale practices. "I wanted to see how well they would re-boot, get re-charged and practice what weve put in," Fox said. "They recalled it and it went very well. We had a very good practice." The Broncos had a sense of normalcy on a few levels. Peyton Manning, as usual, was in command and precise with his throws. He seemed unaffected by the elements. "Very sharp," Fox said. "What Ive noticed, he had to get used to weather over the past two years. I think hes done an unbelievable job, which I think people forget." Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

MILWAUKEE -- Pitcher Yovani Gallardo delivered a pinch-hit double that drove home the winning run with two outs in the 10th inning Tuesday night, foiling Baltimores strategy and sending the Milwaukee Brewers over the Orioles 7-6. Sharrif Floyd Jersey . With the pitchers spot on deck and knowing Milwaukee was out of position players, the Orioles intentionally walked power-hitting Mark Reynolds with two outs and no one on base in the 10th. Brewers manager Ron Roenicke then sent up Gallardo -- a starting pitcher who was 1 for 14 this season -- to bat for reliever Francisco Rodriguez (2-1). Gallardo drove a 2-0 pitch from T.J. McFarland (0-1) to deep centre field to win it. Reynolds earlier hit his 12th homer. The Brewers blew an early 5-0 lead, but tied it at 6 with two outs in the ninth on an infield single by Jonathan Lucroy. Lyle Overbay singled to open the ninth and Jean Segura sacrificed pinch runner Elian Herrera to second. Ryan Brauns ground out sent Herrera to third, and he scored when Lucroy hit a chopper and barely beat third baseman Manny Machados throw to first. The Orioles took a 6-5 lead in the seventh on pinch hitter Steve Pearces three-run homer. Nelson Cruz hit his major league-leading 17th homer in the Baltimore fifth. He walked to open the seventh, and an error by Segura on his flip from shortstop set up Pearces homer off Matt Garza. The Brewers, who blew a 6-4 lead in the ninth inning on Monday and lost to the Orioles in the 10th, powered their way to early lead. Carlos Gomez hit a three-run homer and solo shots by Reynolds and Khris Davis, all off starter Wei-Yin Chen, made it 5-0 through the fourth. NOTES: Brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez, on the disabled list since May 13 with a left hamstring injury, fielded grounders before the game. "It felt good. I took like 20-25 groundballs," he said. "I am going to take it day by day and when I am ready, I am ready." ... Brewers reliever Jim Henderson, on the DL with inflammation in his right shoulder, received a cortisone injection. "Hopefully that clears it up a bit more," said Henderson, who experienced discomfort in his shoulder during his minor league rehab assignment on Friday. "We need to free it up and be pain-free and then well be good to go, really. Im going to just ice it and make sure the injection stays in there and does its work. Then we can get back to strengthening it and exercising again." ... Gomez extended his hitting streak to eight games. ... Lucroy doubled in the eighth to extend his hitting streak to nine games, the Brewers longest this season. ... Prior to the game, the Orioles activated 1B Chris Davis from the paternity list and optioned C Steve Clevenger to Triple-A Norfolk. Davis went 0 for 4. Shamar Stephen Jersey . Tomorrow is a big day for all Guinea, after all weve been through. In the other quarterfinal match later Sunday at Malabo Stadium, tournament favourite Ivory Coast will play Algeria. The Ivorians came into the tournament as one of the favourites, but Guineas path to the quarterfinals has become a fascinating tale. The team was unable to host qualifying matches, instead playing home games in Morocco and away matches at opposing countries — in many cases getting frequent temperature checks to test for symptoms of Ebola. But the Guineans qualified despite the difficulties and the hardships, and they have played well through three draws in three matches in Equatorial Guinea.I was very impressed, not just because of football, Ghana coach Avram Grant said of Guinea. Their spirit is good. Its not easy for this country. I have a lot of respect to them. The route to the quarterfinals wasnt straightforward, however. After their third straight 1-1 draw, the Guineeans and Malians were exactly tied for second place in Group D. Andrew Sendejo Jersey. . To separate them, two green balls were put into a bowl on Thursday at a hotel in Malabo and the representative from Guinea chose the one that got them through.Sometimes you can say that when you work hard, you deserve the luck, Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer said. Of course we have been lucky with the draw, but before the draw we have fought very hard to reach this level. In qualifying, Guinea and Ghana were in the same group, so they have played twice recently. Ghana held Guinea to a 1-1 draw in Morocco before winning 3-1 at home. The Ivory Coast came into the tournament as one of the favourites, mainly due to its star-filled starting lineup. With Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony alone, the Ivorians may have the best two players at the competition. But they started slowly in Equatorial Guinea, being held to 1-1 draws by both Guinea and Mali. It was only after a 1-0 victory over Cameroon in the final group match that Ivory Coast assured itself a spot in the quarterfinals. We are just thinking about victory, Ivory Coast coach Herve Renard said. We wont be happy after the competition if we are in semifinals and we lose. Or even if we play the final. Because if you play one final — and you lose this final — its terrible. It will always come into your mind for the rest of your life. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
